一、wco是什么？
在国际物流和货运代理行业，wco指的是world customs organization，即“世界海关组织”。wco的前身是1952年成立的海关合作理事会（customs co-operation council，简称ccc）。哈哈，这里的ccc跟进出口“3c认证”的ccc不是一回事哈。
1994年，海关合作理事会年会通过了一项有关为该组织命名一个工作名称的议案——从此，该组织获得了一个工作名称，即“世界海关组织（wco）”。

the world customs organization (wco), established in 1952 as the customs co-operation council (ccc) is an independent intergovernmental body whose mission is to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of customs administrations.

二、wco和wto是啥关系？
看到这里，你是否想到了跟wco长得差不多的wto？wto就是大名鼎鼎的the world trade organization世界贸易组织啦。中国加入wto曾经是一件大事儿。所以很多人都听说过wto。wco虽然与wto只有一字之差，但是一直“默默无闻”。
其实，wco和wto有密切关系哦。国际贸易当中，无论进口，还是出口，都涉及到海关，都绕不过海关。海关的政策、规则，尤其是关税、海关知识产权保护以及海关贸易管制等重要方面，都是中国加入wto谈判很重要的组成部分。
世界海关组织（wco）是一个独立的政府间多边国际组织。其主要任务是研究和协调世界海关事务，提高海关效率。其使命是加强各成员海关工作效益和提高海关工作效率，促进各成员在海关执法领域的合作。
三、wco和wca、imo有何不同？
wca是world cargo alliance——世界货运联盟；
wco是world customs organization——是世界海关组织；
imo是international mathematical olympiad——国际海事组织；
差别大着呢，看清楚啦。
另外，imo和icao都是联合国下属的专门机构，而wca和wco都不是联合国下属的专门机构。
还有，wca不是政府间组织，其成员是货代公司freight forwarders；而imo、icao、wco都是政府间组织。
